Welcome to the website of the Asian pacific association for bronchology and interventional pulmonology (APAB). The APAB was established by Professor Takehiko Fujisawa with the founding members meeting in 2008. APAB was a specific non –profit organization founded in 2018.
It is a great honor for me to become the new president of APAB. It is a responsible job in which Professor Fujisawa has been organized for long time with his outstanding effort and leadership. Following Professor Fujisawa, I will do my best to fulfill this great position.
Every 2 years, from the 1st Asian pacific congress on bronchology and interventional pulmonology(APCB) was held in Chiba, Japan 2005, a total of seven times APCB were held including 2nd APCB in Singapore, Singapore 2007, 3rd APCB in Guangzhou, China 2009, 4th APCB in Jaipur, India 2012, 5th APCB Seoul, Korea 2013, 6th APCB in Bangkok, Thailand 2015 and 7th APCB in Bari, Indonesia 2017.
The mission of the APAB is to contribute further progress of the art and science of bronchology and interventional pulmonology in the Asian–Pacific region –from the Indian subcontinent in the west, to japan and the Pacific islands in the east, China in the north and Australia and New Zealand in the south.
I sincerely hope our association would contribute further progress of the art and science of bronchology and interventional pulmonology to the Asian pacific countries with ongoing effort.
